Wedding Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can we stop by anytime for a tour of the venue?

    We prefer you call or email to set up a tour appointment time with our coordinator. Tours are available year-round and typically take 1 hour. Feel free to bring your family or friends to help soak in all of the information!

  • How do we book a date with you?

    Contact us to find out if your wedding date is available, tour the venue, take a look at an estimated budget, and make sure we are a great fit for your celebration! A $2,000 non-refundable deposit and signed contracts are required to book your date. A date can be held for 10 days until a deposit is received.

  • What is the rental rate for Fair Hills?

    We offer one day all inclusive wedding rentals and rates depend on the day and package you choose. All-inclusive packages and features can be found on our packages page. Packages include access to spaces the morning of your wedding for decoration set-up and all event spaces close at midnight with bar last call at 11:45pm. Additional rentals for rehearsal dinners, cruises, extra decoration time are dependent on specific weekend availability.

  • Does the venue host more than one wedding per day?

    We give all our focus to one couple per day at the resort. Often there are other events or weddings on the same weekend and other guests will be staying at the resort, but your wedding day schedule is always our first priority. Fair Hills has 40 acres of cabins, lakeshore, and tons of amenities, you won’t even notice other guests are there!

  • Are resort staff included to take care of set up and tear down?

    Fair Hills staff will set up, maintain during the event, and clean up all items provided in our packages and all catering and bar items. Any decorations, floral, lighting or personal items brought in are the responsibility of the couple and their party to set up, clean up, and remove from the venue.

  • Do you provide catering and bar services?

    Yes! Our catering bar services are exclusive for our venue. Outside food and beverages are only allowed in your own rented cabins. We help you choose a great selection of appetizers, entrees, late night snacks and/or desserts and set up the best bar service for you and your guests.

  • Do you have food and beverage minimums?

    Minimums are required for every wedding. Rates depend on if you choose a Friday or Sunday wedding or a Saturday wedding with higher food and beverage minimums.

  • Are there overnight lodging options available?

    We have over 100 cabins at the resort and they are available for your guests to stay with us for the weekend! Blocks of cabins are set up during the booking process with your venue coordinator and are typically made for the night before and night of your wedding. No additional deposits are required to set up this block of cabins. We do not have RV or tent sites available at the resort.

  • Is parking available for all of our guests?

    In addition to parking available for our cabins, we have overflow parking for the rest of your guests and staff to help guests find parking and shuttle between spaces on the day of your wedding.

  • Are there back-up options for outdoor spaces in case of bad weather?

    All of our outdoor spaces have an indoor back-up and Fair Hills staff will help move chairs and your guests to the indoor location if needed.

  • Is the venue pet friendly?

    While we all love our furry friends, our resort is unfortunately not pet friendly. Pets may be allowed for an on-site ceremony only, if approved by the venue coordinator. If a pet attends a ceremony, they must remain on a leash with supervision and outdoors for the entirety of the ceremony and/or outdoor photos.

  • Do you have required vendors we need to work with?

    We give our couples the flexibility to work with vendors that are the best fit for them! We have a list of recommended vendors we provide for photography, DJs & bands, decor & floral, desserts, officiants, and more! These vendors are not required, just people that know the resort and people we love to work with.

  • Is the venue handicap accessible?

    All of the main spaces included in our packages are handicap accessible. Our Library space, an additional getting ready space rental, is only accessible by stairs. We have handicap cabins available for guests to lodge with us as well.

  • Does the venue have a sound system?

    Our main dinner and reception spaces have built in sound systems with wireless microphones and bluetooth or aux connections. We also have two portable systems for rent for an outdoor ceremony and/or cocktail hour.
