New Families – Welcome!

We are excited at the prospect of sharing the Fair Hills experience with you and your family.  We look forward to welcoming you into the Fair Hills Vacation Family! Have we said the word family enough?  It’s an important word to us and we hope you come to understand just how important you are to us.

How to Book

We are not like a typical hotel, so booking with us is a little different. The best way to book is over the phone or start via email, though you can book online.  Our reservations team is happy and waiting for you to reach out!

Step 1:  Do a little bit of research and get to know what we offer.  Have some ideas of what you’d like or questions ready to ask us!

Step 2:  Reach our via phone or email.  Our first questions will be the following:

• Do you have any specific dates in mind?
• How many nights do you want to stay?
• How many people are included in your reservation?  How old is each person at the time of travel?

Step 3:  Pick your dates and cabin.  Once we have a date range or a few ranges picked, we will send you availability and cabin descriptions so you can pick your space.  Since all of our rates are per person, based on age, it doesn’t matter which cabin or how many cabins you occupy.  The cost only depends on how many people and how long you stay.

Step 4:  Confirm with a deposit.  Deposits are due by January 15th or within 7 days of booking, whichever is later.  Specific deposit amount depends on your dates and rate plan.

Step 5:  Provide the following information:

• Names, birthdates and hometowns for all registered guests
• Confirm billing information; we can split up bills by family, lump them all together, or break out incidental charges.

Step 6:  Full payment is due 90 days before arrival to finish confirming your booking.  We send email reminders.

Step 7:  Get excited for your arrival!  We will send you monthly newsletter emails, a dietary restriction pre arrival email and a robust pre arrival email about a week before you arrive.  If you sign up for text alerts, we will also send you a text alert the day before you arrive.  We are excited to serve you!

New Family Swag Bag

As a welcome gift to New Families, a swag bag of goodies will be placed in your cabin upon your arrival!

This swag bag will include:

• a $75 gift card to use at the Soda Fountain, Gift Shop, Perch Lounge or Wildflower Golf Course
• cookies made in our Fair Hills bakery
• bottled water for the whole family
• a Fair Hills sticker to start your collection
• a deck of cards
• new family information flyer

Specifics:

1. The reservation must be for a new family.  New means they haven’t stayed at the resort before.
2. Valid only on reservations between June 15 – August 21, 2025 – 3 night minimum.
3. One swag bag per reservation/cabin. (one per 2 adults)
4. May be combined with any other one promotional special booking.

What do new families say about Fair Hills?

How easy everything is…all you have to do is show up for whatever you want!  The kids were able to get whatever they wanted/needed (cabin charge) without asking, and plenty of activities to keep everyone busy.  Our family has a wide variety of interests, but everyone felt included.  I feel like this will be a place to keep in mind down the road as we add grandchildren to our family as well.  E&B Grundy Center, IA 2022 – NEW!
