Fair Hills has established guidelines and policies with our guests’ safety and satisfaction as top priority.
Wedding packages are offered from mid-May through Father’s Day and end of August through end of September. We are not open for winter wedding dates and do not have availability in July and the beginning of August.
To make a reservation for your wedding and confirm your date, we require a non-refundable $2000.00 deposit, which will be applied to your final bill. 50% of your bill is due 3 months before your wedding and 100% is due 1 month prior to your wedding. We prefer Visa, MasterCard, or check payments (no processing fees for credit cards). A service charge and MN sales tax will be added to some or all chosen items.
For any cancellation not related to a pandemic: Over 90 days before scheduled arrival $2,000 non-refundable deposit is forfeited. 61 days to 90 days before scheduled arrival, 50% of Total Anticipated Revenue is forfeited. 31 days to 60 days before scheduled arrival, 75% of Total Anticipated Revenue is forfeited. Within 30 days of scheduled arrival,100% of Total Anticipated Revenue is forfeited.
Lodging is available for the couple, your wedding party and your guests. The resort can hold approximately 250 people. A block of rooms is set-up during the booking process. Additional deposits are not required for this block. Lodging is non-smoking and does not allow pets. A complimentary room is offered to the Bride & Groom on the night of your wedding. Check-In time is 1:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
All signs that will be displayed around the resort or handed out to guests must be pre-approved by the venue coordinator. This is to ensure accuracy. No glitter or confetti is allowed in event spaces. Rice is not allowed for throwing – sparklers or bubbles are great alternatives for an outdoor exit! We also do not allow fireworks, Chinese lanterns, or open flames. We do our best to preserve the natural lake environment and all of our wildlife. We are not responsible for any outside items brought in or the clean-up required. Including linens, decorations, floral, desserts, etc. All our function spaces are non-smoking and pet free. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas and is only allowed in designated smoking areas. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a fee.
A personal venue coordinator is included in your package. This person will be with you from booking through billing and all the steps in between. They are your contact for all questions, details, and coordination at Fair Hills Resort. While they will not book your vendors, they will advise to ensure that all of the details of your day come together and run smoothly while at Fair Hills Resort. If you choose to hold your ceremony on property, your venue coordinator will run your 1-hour rehearsal the day prior to your wedding. They are the day of contact for you and your vendors to ensure that all of the moving parts and timeline of your big day come together perfectly!
Booked events are not granted exclusivity of the entire resort. Please note that while we only ever host one wedding per day, we do host multiple weddings and/or events per weekend. Other guests may be on property during your event but will not occupy your contracted event spaces.
All food must be purchased through Fair Hills Resort with the exception of desserts. Your desserts can be brought in from a licensed vendor and must be pre-approved by Fair Hills Resort. All of our selections can be found in our menu, though we may also be able to accommodate special requests. Menu selections and dietary restrictions are due 30 days before your wedding date and final food and beverage counts are due 15 days before your wedding date. All prices are subject to market fluctuations. Our chef reserves the right to make substitutions. No unconsumed food can be removed from Fair Hills Resort event spaces. All alcohol consumed in event spaces must be purchased through Fair Hills Resort with the exception of bottles of wine or champagne. If you would like to bring in your own wine or champagne, there is a $12 per 750mL corkage fee. This must be pre-approved by Fair Hills Resort. All beverage selections can be found on our beverage menu. We may also be able to accommodate special orders – any special order or keg must be prepaid in full and ordered at least 30 days before the wedding date. Kegs are available at 1 keg per 100 guests.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted in any contracted event locations as Fair Hills is the only licensed vendor that may sell and serve on-site.
Fair Hills Resort reserves the right to inspect and control all private parties, bands and receptions being held on premise. Fair Hills accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of personal equipment. Clients accept liability in case of damage to function space or any Fair Hills Resort property.
