How to Book Your Stay at Fair Hills Resort; A Step-by-Step Guide

At Fair Hills Resort, we’re not your typical hotel – we’re a family-focused resort dedicated to creating personal connections and lifelong memories.  Booking with us is a little different but we’ve streamlined the process to make it easy for you!

Step 1: Research & Plan

Take some time to explore what Fair Hills Resort has to offer.  Think about what activities, dates and accommodations suit your needs.

Step 2: Reach Out to Us

Call or email our team to start your booking.

We’ll ask a few key questions to get started:

• Do you have specific dates in mind?
• How many nights do you plan to stay?
• How many people will be traveling, and how old is each person at the time of travel?

Step 3: Choose Your Dates & Cabin(s)

Once we have your preferred dates or date ranges, we’ll send you cabin descriptions and availability to help you pick the perfect space.  Since our rates are per person (based on age), the cost depends on how many people and how long you stay – regardless of which cabin or how many cabins you book.

Step 4: Confirm with a Deposit

To secure your reservation, a deposit is required:

• Due by January 15th (the year of travel), or within 7 days of booking, whichever is later.
• Deposit amount: 1/3 of your total stay.

Step 5:  Provide Guest Details

• Names, birthdates, and hometowns of all registered guests.
• Your billing preferences (split by family, combined, or separated by incidental charges).
• Any IATA or ARC numbers (for travel agents).

Step 6: Complete Your Payment

Full payment is due 90 days before your arrival.  Don’t worry – we’ll send email reminders to keep you on track.

Step 7: Get Ready for Your Stay!

We’ll send helpful updates, including:

• Monthly newsletters with resort news and tips.
• An email for booking excursions and rentals.
• Dietary restriction inquiries.
• A detailed pre-arrival guide about a week before you check-in.

For Travel Agents

We offer a 10% commission for all bookings, payable upon guest check-in.

Travel Professional Visits

We love when Travel Professionals visit and experience the Fair Hills magic for themselves!  The best way to learn about Fair Hills is to experience it with your own family!

We offer the following Travel Professional Deals

• 10% off any published rate for Travel Professionals (based on availability)
• 20% off any 3-Night Packages from June 15 – August 15, 2025 (based on availability).  3-Night Packages are valid on Saturday – Tuesday or Wednesday – Saturday stays.

Let us also introduce our sister resort, Five Lakes Resort!  Located on Lake Five, just outside Frazee, MN.

In case Fair Hills isn’t the right fit for your family or group, we offer another style vacation at Five Lakes Resort, located just 20 minutes from Fair Hills.

7 cabins, all with full kitchens, ranging from occupancy of 6-12 people.  All lakeside cabins that include a battery operated fishing boat and firepit.  The Barn is available to rent for a perfect gathering space for up to 60 people for meals, a space to play games, or just to gather together!
