Store Workers

Located in the lobby, our classic soda fountain is a favorite gathering spot for guests of all ages. Open daily from 7am–11pm, it’s where kids line up for ice cream cones, families share late-night pizza, and grandparents treat the grandkids to candy and malts.

As a Store Worker, you’ll help create those memorable moments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve ice cream, malts, pizza, popcorn, nachos, candy, pop, and other classic favorites
  • Provide friendly, efficient counter service to guests
  • Keep the soda fountain area clean, stocked, and inviting
  • Maintain and organize the gift shop, including restocking merchandise and assisting guests with purchases
  • Help keep the lobby neat and welcoming throughout the day
  • Assist with event set-up and tear down
  • Assist with other guest services and support fellow departments as needed

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, loves interacting with people, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.

The Perch is open daily from 7:00am–11:00pm, serving specialty hot and iced coffee drinks, beer, wine, craft cocktails, mocktails, and light snacks. From sunrise espresso to sunset old fashioneds, this role blends the art of coffee with the craft of bartending.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages with consistency and care
  • Mix and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks responsibly
  • Engage warmly with guests, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, coffee station, and seating areas
  • Manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with ordering as needed
  • Follow proper ID verification and responsible beverage service standards
  • Support overall guest services and collaborate with other departments

For over 100 years, evenings at the resort have been filled with sing-alongs, talent shows, and spontaneous performances that create unforgettable memories. Our Performer Staff continue that tradition, sharing their talents while also being an essential part of the resort team.

Performer Staff members hold a full-time position in one of our resort departments while also participating in the musical and entertainment traditions that make Fair Hills unique. Whether leading a sing-along, performing during a cocktail hour, or joining the weekly hootenanny, performers help create the lively, welcoming atmosphere our guests return for year after year.

Performers are encouraged to share their musical abilities; singing, playing instruments, leading group songs, or collaborating with fellow staff members.

Performance Opportunities Include:

  • Monday Night Open Mic Night – encouraging guest participation and sharing your own music

Depending on the season, guest participation, and performer talents, there may be additional opportunities throughout the week to share music and entertainment.

Collaboration between performers is highly encouraged, and many of our most memorable moments come from staff members creating music together.

At Fair Hills Resort, we believe a family sharing a great meal together is one of the most important ingredients in a happy vacation. For 100 years, our dining room has been the heart of the resort, where stories are told, traditions are honored, and generations gather around the same tables summer after summer.

Our dining room team serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily to resort guests. During our family season (mid-June through August), waitrons are typically assigned the same families for their entire stay. You’ll serve approximately 20–30 guests per meal; building relationships, remembering preferences, and becoming part of their vacation experience.

This is more than food service, it’s hospitality rooted in connection and consistency.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide attentive, friendly table service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Learn guest names, preferences, and special requests
  • Carry and serve large trays efficiently and safely

At Fair Hills Resort, time on the water is a treasured part of the vacation experience. For generations, families have learned to ski on our lake and many of those first rides started with one of our Water Ski Instructors.

Fair Hills Resort offers complimentary water ski lessons to our guests, and our ski team plays a key role in creating safe, exciting, and confidence-building experiences on the water. Whether it’s a child skiing for the first time or an adult checking it off their bucket list, you’ll help make it happen.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide clear, patient instruction in water skiing and wakeboarding fundamentals
  • Safely operate ski boats and pull skiers of all skill levels
  • Coach guests from dockside instruction through successful deep-water starts
  • Ensure all safety procedures and equipment checks are followed
  • Create a fun, encouraging, and supportive environment
  • Help maintain boats, ropes, skis, and waterfront equipment
  • Represent the resort with professionalism and positive energy

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong water skiing and/or wakeboarding ability
  • Experience driving boats and pulling skiers
  • Comfort operating boat motors and handling docking procedures
  • Excellent judgment and attention to water safety
  • Clear communication skills and patience with beginners
  • Instructional experience is a plus, but not required, we’ll help you grow into the role

This position is perfect for someone who loves being on the water, enjoys teaching, and takes pride in helping others succeed.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:30am – 4:30pm (with a mid-day lunch break)
  • No scheduled lessons if the 4th of July falls on a weekday

In addition to scheduled lessons, instructors have the opportunity to book private lessons on their own time for additional hours and income.

Few moments compare to seeing a guest stand up on skis for the first time. As a Water Ski Instructor, you’ll help create those unforgettable lake memories, continuing a tradition that has been part of Fair Hills for over 100 years.

At Fair Hills Resort, tennis is part of the summer tradition. We offer complimentary lessons to our guests, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced instructor to help bring the game to life on our courts.

Our Tennis Instructor leads 30-minute lessons for 1–4 guests, Monday - Friday. Lessons are offered from June 23 - August 21. Lessons focus on fundamentals, skill development, and creating a fun, welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities. Previous teaching and competitive experience is preferred. We also welcome creative clinic ideas to keep the program fresh and engaging.

In addition to daily lessons, you’ll organize and host two 90-minute tournaments each week—building excitement, encouraging participation, and occasionally joining in when an extra player is needed. There is also the opportunity to teach pickleball lessons, clinics and/or tournaments.

As part of the Fair Hills team, you’ll enjoy full access to resort amenities during your time off, including the pool, beach, and non-motorized watercraft. (Hours are weather dependent.)

Our guests receive maid service throughout their stay, and our housekeeping staff is responsible for maintaining more than 100 guest rooms, cabins, and common areas across the property. From fresh linens to sparkling bathrooms, your work helps create the relaxing environment that defines a Fair Hills vacation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Clean and refresh guest rooms and cabins
  • Change linens, make beds, and restock amenities
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms and high-touch areas
  • Vacuum, dust, and maintain overall room appearance
  • Report maintenance issues or guest needs promptly
  • Assist with common area upkeep as needed
  • Support other departments when teamwork is required

The Grounds Crew is responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces that define a Fair Hills vacation; from manicured lawns and pristine beaches to docks, boats, and event setups. This is a hands-on, active role for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in visible results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain lawns, landscaping, and outdoor common areas
  • Set up and tear down for events, activities, and special gatherings
  • Manage garbage and assist with laundry operations
  • Maintain the beach area and waterfront equipment
  • Support boat operations, including sailboats and speedboats
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Our Recreation Team facilitates organized activities daily at 9:30am and 2:30pm, along with select evening events. From classic camp-style games to creative competitions and themed events, Recreation Directors bring enthusiasm, structure, and fun to every part of the day.

We offer programming for four age groups:

  • Ages 4–8 (2 Directors)
  • Ages 8–14 (2 Directors)
  • Teens (1 Director)
  • Adults (1 Director)

Each director plays a key role in creating age-appropriate, engaging experiences while contributing to the overall spirit of the resort.

We are seeking Seasonal Cooks to join our team and assist our chefs with daily preparation and service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist chefs with daily food prep, including chopping, baking, and scratch-made recipe preparation

  • Help execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner service in a high-volume kitchen

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations

  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times

  • Support dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning when needed

  • Work collaboratively with the entire culinary and service team
