Meals at Fair Hills Resort
Fair Hills has found that a family sharing a good meal together is a prime ingredient for a happier vacation. During our “Family Season,” Fair Hills serves three meals daily to its guests. A bell usually rings to signal the beginning of the meal hour, though we sometimes forget. The Fair Hills kitchen can accommodate any dietary restrictions. We offer vegetarian and gluten free choices at every meal. Beer and wine is also available for purchase during lunch and dinner.
Dining is currently not allowed inside of restaurants as directed by the State of Minnesota. As a result, we have had to adapt and will be offering new options for you to enjoy your meals.
- Pick Up and Delivery: All of your delicious meals will have to be ordered in advance, with a choice of meals being delivered to your cabin or available for pick-up to enjoy at your location of choice throughout the grounds.
- Meal Times – With this new adventure in dining at the resort comes new meal times. Breakfast now will be served from 8:00-9:00. Lunch will be provided from 12:00-1:00. Dinner is available from 6:00-7:00. We will ask that you indicate your preferences for your time and method of delivery with your menu selections.
- Menus – Our menus will be largely unchanged in format and variety. We have added a few new items and will continue to accommodate all dietary requests.
- Ordering – We are going to require that your meal order be submitted well ahead of time. We will email the weekly menu to all reservations 10 days prior to your arrival. The order form will be attached. All meal orders are due at least one day in advance and sooner if possible. You may turn in your entire weekly order ahead of time, even before you arrive. Please be thorough as same day changes are not possible.
Breakfast (8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.)
Some of the favorite breakfast items include Chef Ryan’s amazing shaped pancakes. Have you ever seen a pancake shaped like a dog, sun, golf cart or Dave Kaldahl? Breakfast always offers a choice of fruit juices, toast, fresh fruit & yogurt, hot and cold cereal, pancakes, French toast, any style of eggs and breakfast meat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and not to be missed at Fair Hills!
Lunch (12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
Lunch is a lighter fare. It features a salad bar stocked with all the fixings, a vegetarian hot entree and vegetarian soup. Off the menu, lunch includes a hot and cold entree option and delicious homemade desserts. Warm bread and a variety of beverages accompany the meal. Twice a week, we take lunch outside for a picnic style meal!
Dinner (6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Dinner is a full-service three course meal. Soup & salad for the appetizer. Entrees offer guests either Minnesota walleye, steak or prime rib (the choice changes daily). Delicious homemade desserts, warm bread and a variety of beverages accompany the meal.
