The front desk pro-shop intern position at Wildflower Golf Course is an excellent internship for anyone who loves golf and enjoys customer service. There are many reasons why one would want to work at Wildflower. The course is challenging, but fair, making it a fun test of your golfing ability. Better yet, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from many different beautiful lakes in the area, making 18 holes in the morning followed up with boating and sunshine in the afternoon the truly perfect Minnesota summer day.
The most important takeaway from working in golf for the past two years that I’ve noticed is the varying service employees give. Since each employee has a different approach, customers’ experiences vary. I’ve learned it is of the utmost importance that each employee is prepared for all situations. It should be their objective to always make a good impression because I believe the easiest way to separate one golf course from another is the service provided to the customer.
The best part about working at Wildflower is the people you meet. I have been fortunate to meet many great people that I would never have had the opportunity of meeting before, and I am grateful for that. I could not have asked for a better internship experience than this past summer working at Wildflower.
