Limerick Contest

We are going to have a limerick contest!!!! Winner gets 3 nights, 4 days at either cabin 8 or 9 at Five Lakes Resort, subject to availability between January 5 and March 5, 2010.

Rules of the contest:

1. It must contain something about skiing at Five Lakes
2. It must be in standard limerick form- 5 lines, (AABBA)
3. It should be of family oriented content!

Email entries to Beth (beth@fairhillsresort.com) and we’ll choose a winner on Dec. 14th. Entries must be emailed by midnight on the 13th. This is open to all guests of five lakes and fair hills guests who have spent at least 4 nights at the resort in the past 10 years.

To get your started, Beth has written a Limerick herself.

I’m really not too great at skiing
My skis point my body toward “treeing”
I’d like to go sledding
(Ice skating I’m dreading)
But the resort full of snow is worth seeing

The trails are so amazing at Lake Five
For us, they are sure worth the drive
I love the big hills
They give me the chills
When done I give thanks I’m alive

Skiing is always such fun
It gets you out in the winter sun
To ski at Lake Five
I would gladly drive
From anywhere to try out their run(S)!!
