We have stayed at this resort five times now and every time we leave the kids can’t wait to get back!! The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly, and even though we stayed there for a week we ran out of time to do all the activities offered! I have three kids and there are things to do that interest all age levels. As a mom and dad we REALLY appreciated the AM and PM organized and supervised youth activities for the kids that let us have kid-free time! My daughter learned how to water-ski the first day she took lessons and two days later she was on a wakeboard! The kids all found friends to hang out with and even write to them throughout the school year. We love how this resort puts family first. There is a talent show for the kids, a staff show, dance, plenty of water toys (we kayaked, paddle boated, sailed almost every day!) We played tennis every day and all of us even took private tennis lessons. The snack bar was our kid’s favorite pastime with shakes being their favorite item on the menu. Ask the cook to make a pancake in the shape of an ice skate, a guitar, and a drum set? They will do it! Our picky eaters had plenty to choose from and always left with full bellies. My husband and I also took advantage of the 3 mile run/walk every AM with their resort pontoon taking us back to the resort along with coffee (and yummy sticky buns on Saturday.) We each got a free shirt to prove it! One of my favorite parts is in each cabin there is a journal where each family can write about their stay. I loved reading all the entries and even got teary-eyed. There were families that had taken trips to Jamaica, Aspen, England and they said the only place they have been to that their whole family wanted to go back to was FAIR HILLS!!! I’m sure they hear this all the time but the BEST way to describe this resort is it’s the closest thing to the resort Dirty Dancing as it comes. LOVE, LOVE , LOVE it!!!!

We’ve been to Fair Hills 3 years straight. It’s like stepping back in time. Very musical. Very nice, accommodating global staff. Very safe. Beautiful lake with tons of things for you and the kids to do. Speaking of kids, they consistently report back that despite the talent show, huge slip and slide, pool, kickball games, sailing, jumping off the high docks and riding the water toys in the lake, hootenany, dessert at every meal, etc, their favorite part of Fairhills is the freedom they have to bike around the grounds. When the kids are happy, mom and dad can actually read a book on the deck overlooking Pelican Lake. It’s our summer exhale…

Fair Hills Resort exceeded all of our expectations. We were looking for a true getaway that would allow us to enjoy our family and get a real break from our hectic busy lives. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and were treated like old friends. We have kids that range from 2-17 and each of them had plenty of things to do and quickly made friends with fellow guests. Almost everything is included in the rate (except motorized things) so they were endless things to do and no one complained about being bored all week. It’s a wonderful relaxing place. The staff is so friendly and accommodating to any request and they surprised me constantly though the week. I think they’ve thought of everything here! They even have a bell to ring for meals and activities and allow the children to sign up to have their chance to ring it. Very nostalgic and wonderful place. And none of us wanted to leave.

The food served is homey and the choices are great. The cook will make pancakes in any shape and out kids challenged that by requesting a spider on a web and a peacock… and the cook delivered both! There are so many quaint and sweet things that happen through the week, I am not sure I would even want to spoil it by telling about them here. But trust me when I say that your week at Fair Hills will feel like a month and you will not want to leave. There is a reason that families return year after year. 2013 was our first time at Fair Hills and we made reservations for the next year before we checked out. Our kids have not stopped talking about it and we already miss it.

What a great place to spend time with family. Four generations of our family have vacationed at Fair Hills since my childhood, 30 plus years now. Lots of activities for every age. Unplug and enjoy a great week in this family friendly resort.
